Temple Consecration Ceremony

June 12 – 18, 2026 · 7 Sacred Days

What is Kumbhabhishekam?

Kumbhabhishekam is one of the most significant rituals in Hindu temple tradition — the sacred consecration ceremony that infuses divine power into the Moola Vigraha and the entire temple structure.

Typically performed to consecrate a new temple or to re-energize and purify an existing one, this ceremony transforms the physical images into vibrant, living representations of the divine. It is traditionally performed every 12 years or after major renovations.

For Sri Venkateshwara Temple Stuttgart, this marks a historic milestone — the first Kumbhabhishekam of our temple, bringing the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara to the heart of Baden-Württemberg.

What is Ubhayam?

Ubhayam represents a specific offering made by a family, individual, or group to sponsor a particular day's ritual during the Kumbhabhishekam.

As an Ubhayam sponsor, you become the Yajamani — receiving all the merits and blessings from the rituals, which are believed to primarily benefit you and your family.

Benefits of Ubhayam

  • A Sankalpa conducted in your Gotra and Nakshatra
  • Recognized as the Yajamani of the ritual
  • All merits and blessings flow to you and your family
  • Prasadam offered to the deity in your name
  • Opportunity to observe the Pujas closely

Ubhayam for one day (morning or evening)

Per family

Add each family member's name and nakshatram. As the Yajamani, these names are recited during the Sankalpa. You don't need to list yourself.

Add each family member attending with you — their name and nakshatram are used for the Sankalpa during the rituals.

Total attending: 1 (you + 0 family)
