Temple Consecration Ceremony
June 12 – 18, 2026 · 7 Sacred Days
What is Kumbhabhishekam?
Kumbhabhishekam is one of the most significant rituals in Hindu temple tradition — the sacred consecration ceremony that infuses divine power into the Moola Vigraha and the entire temple structure.
Typically performed to consecrate a new temple or to re-energize and purify an existing one, this ceremony transforms the physical images into vibrant, living representations of the divine. It is traditionally performed every 12 years or after major renovations.
For Sri Venkateshwara Temple Stuttgart, this marks a historic milestone — the first Kumbhabhishekam of our temple, bringing the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara to the heart of Baden-Württemberg.
